Why Elon Musk Is Awesome

elon musk tesla life blog post

Does he really need an introduction? Elon Musk has become a household name, famous for being the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX. Oh, and really freaking rich.

Some people love him, and some people love to give him a hard time (remember when he named his baby X AE A-12?). But all jokes aside, here are some reasons why he’s actually pretty awesome:

1. Age: 49 Net Worth: $190 billion USD

Musk hit millionaire status in his late 20s and became a billionaire at age 41. This man knows how to make money and figured it out young. He’s the classic self-made through hard work success story that we all love to see.

2. Invested in Sustainability.

He put electric cars on the map. Prior to Tesla, the Prius was the only electric car sold in substantial numbers in the US (and I’m sure we all remember the jokes about how uncool it was to drive). Musk, through Telsa, created electric cars that people actually wanted to drive, opening up a market once laughed at.

3. Builds Rocket Ships

I do not really think I need to explain why this is awesome. Musk said, “I want to go to Mars,” and just created his own space company, SpaceX. I do not know how much cooler it gets than building your own rocket ships.

4. Relates to People.

How many other CEOs can you name? One, maybe two? That’s what’s so interesting about Elon Musk. He is not the stiff, polished executive that we’ve come to expect. Whether it’s his thoughtful responses to questions or the colloquial nature of his speech, there’s something real about Musk that draws people’s attention and admiration.

5. He has a Boring Company.

Elon grew tired of sitting in traffic and decided to explore creating tunnels below congested traffic. The Boring Company constructs safe, fast-to-dig, and low-cost transportation, utility, and freight tunnels. Check out the video that demonstrates. Elon states this is the easiest company he has to manage hence, its boring.
